Watch the Trailer for Ramy Youssef’s New Comedy Series

By Tiarra Mukherjee Mar 19, 2019

Comedian Ramy Youssef first made waves in 2017 when his clip “Ramy Youssef Is Expecting A Hogwarts Letter From ISIS” went viral, landing him a spot on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” Now he has a new half-hour Hulu comedy series, “Ramy,” which focuses on the complexities of growing up first-generation Egyptian American in New Jersey. Created by Youssef and film studio A24 (“2 Dope Queens”), the trailer is a smart, fresh and welcome depiction of the average kid next door who is reconciling his Muslim identity with a millennial perspective. The first 10 episodes of “Ramy” will be released on Hulu on April 19. Watch the trailer above.
