Audra McDonald made history when she won her sixth Tony Award—the most of any performer—for her portrayal of the iconic Billie Holiday. Two years later, she’s bringing her winning performance to the small screen.

HBO’s "Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill" is set to air on March 12 at 9 p.m., and you can check out a promo for the show above. The special was filmed in front of a live audience at New Orleans’ Cafe Brasil.

"Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill" originated as an off-Broadway show in 1987, and it features Holiday telling her life’s story through songs like "God Bless the Child" and "Strange Fruit." The run featuring McDonald in the lead role was so acclaimed that it was extended four times due to high demand.
