Designer Tracy Reese’s name has been in the headlines since First Lady Michelle Obama wore her dress on the first night of the 2012 Democratic National Convention. Reese showed her latest collection at New York Fashion Week on Sunday and she’s back in the news with mostly positive reviews.

Reese, 48, is not new to fashion or New York Fashion Week. Before launching her own label in 1998, she was the head of the Women’s Portfolio for Perry Ellis.

The first lady has worn Reese’s designs about 15 times publicly, the designer told Reuters.
