Lovers of vinyl scratches, ensemble dramas and ’90s hip-hop have reason to rejoice: VH1 just released the first trailer for upcoming movie “The Breaks.”

Based on Dan Charnas’ “The Big Payback,” the film follows three young people in New York City in 1990 who are trying to make it on both the creative and business sides of the still-burgeoning industry around hip-hop. The film’s ensemble cast includes Tristan “Mack” Wilds (a.k.a. the dude from Adele’s “Hello” video), Wood Harris and Method Man in starring roles.
