Today (May 1) on the first day of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Gold House announced its A100 List 2019 to honor the most impactful Asians and Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs) in culture.
The annual distinction highlights “the most impactful Asians of the past year who represent the future of their industries in each of the five cultural industries: activism, advocacy and politics, finance and business, lifestyle and sports, media and entertainment, and technology and innovation,” according to the organization, a collective of pioneering Asian voices and leaders.
This year’s honorees include actors and comedians Akwafina and Hasan Manaj, singer and songwriter H.E.R., two-time Olympic medalist ice dancers Alex and Maia Shibutani and Robinhood co-founders and co-CEOs Baiju Bhatt and Vladimir Tenev.
