Update: July 25, 3:04 p.m. ET:

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake will sound the gavel to start the DNC today (July 25) at 4:00 p.m.

Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz stepped down as leader of the Democratic party, but her resignation is not scheduled to go into effect until after the conclusion of the Democratic National Convention. That left her in the position to officially gavel in the proceedings later today (July 25) as planned. But now, ABC News reports that Wasserman Schultz will not appear on the convention stage.

This news comes after the Florida Representative was booed by delegates from her home state at a breakfast this morning. Watch the video below.

It is still unclear who will replace her at the podium.
