Late-night television is about to get a fresh new voice. Variety reports that YouTuber Lilly Singh will replace Carson Daly as the host of NBC’s 1:35 a.m. talk show in September, making her the only woman to currently host a late-night talk show on one of the big four networks. The show will be called “A Little Late with Lilly Singh” and will feature Singh conducting interviews along with pre-taped comedy sketches. It debuts in September 2019.

“An Indian-Canadian woman with her own late-night show? Now that is a dream come true,” said Singh, who will also be executive producer on the show. “I’m thrilled to bring it to life on NBC, and I hope my parents consider this to be as exciting as a grandchild.”

Having long been one of YouTube’s most successful and highest-earning stars, Singh amassed more than 14 million subscribers on her channel before branching out into movies and TV.

“Lilly is truly a star and we’re thrilled to welcome her to our NBC family,” NBC Entertainment’s executive vice president for special programs and late night, told Variety. “She is a multi-talented performer who will surely have a great rapport with not only all her guests, but also with our devoted late-night audience. We can’t wait to get started.”
