VIDEO: Hannibal Buress Tries Convincing People That Obama’s Got A Third Term, Fails Hilariously

By Sameer Rao Aug 21, 2015

We’ve made no secret of our love for "Why? with Hannibal Buress," the acclaimed comedian’s oddball, deconstructionist late-night Comedy Central show where he skewers pop culture with equal measures of prescience and irreverence. This hilarious bit of man-on-the-street comedy from Wednesday night’s episode is no exception.

Buress proposes that given the dismal current presidential race, a third Obama term wouldn’t be a bad idea. Regardless of what you think about that, it was enough to get the Chicago native to don an "Obama 2016" shirt and hit the streets of Los Angeles, trying to convince passers by that Obama passed an executive order allowing him a third term. The gag didn’t really work, and instead devolved into him asking people who they’d vote for. Among the highlights:

—A shirtless man named Idris proposing that he could run, with Buress telling him he’d need a shirt before, later in the video, offering him Obama campaign-brand cocoa butter

—Two white women saying they’d rather vote for Justin Bieber than Hillary Clinton, prompting Buress to flash back to his thorough vivisection of Bieber during the Canadian pop star’s Comedy Central Roast

—Buress asking a French man about Kanye West and "Paris," prompting the French man to say the N-word and Buress to give him a serious "wtf" look
