We at ColorLines are huge fans of Janelle Monae, the pompadour-ed performance artist and singer with the classically trained voice and futuristic sound. So even though Halloween makes us a little anxious, any opportunity for parents to dress their kids up as the supremely talented Monae, with her trademark saddlebacks and tailored black and white outfits, makes us happy.

And, well, babies.
