Teachers at two Seattle high schools are boycotting the district-required Measure of Academic Progress or MAP test, claiming it’s a waste of resources and robs students of instructional time. Teachers at Garfield High School took a stand against assessment tests first and were followed by an additional 25 educators at nearby Ballard High School.

The Seattle Times believes this is the first time that all teachers at a single school have decided to protest a test by boycotting it.
