Some Upset Over Marilyn Mosby Attending #Rally4Peace Concert

Thousands attended Prince’s #Rally4Peace benefit concert that took place at Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena on Mother’s Day. Prince and other artists performed for the crowd to promote healing around the death of Freddie Gray.

Among those in attendance was Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby who joined Prince onstage along with others such as singers Miguel and Estelle. While Mosby’s appearance received a standing ovation from the crowd, others took to Twitter to speak out against it.

The tweets all suggest that by Mosby attending the event, she is somehow biased in the case of the six officers charged with Gray’s death. According to CBS News, the attorneys for the cops in question have already filed a motion requesting that an independent prosecutor replace Mosby on the case, stating that “she has too many conflicts of interest to remain objective.”
