Thanks to the relaxed restrictions around travel to Cuba, The Roots’ drummer, Questlove, was able to visit Havana earlier this year for a documentary project called “Quest for Cuba.” 

The percussionist travels through Havana to experience Cuba’s rich musical culture and search for rare records. Hee also DJs and visits historic sites such as EGREM studios where Nat King Cole and the Buena Vista Social Club recorded. 

The short doc was directed by Jauretsi and Daniel Petruzzi and is streaming on Okayplayer.
