Questlove and Prince Estate Team Up for Orchestral Tribute

The Roots drummer and producer Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson partnered with the estate of Prince to bring orchestral versions of the late musician’s works to a city near you.

rntRolling Stone reported yesterday (May 15) that 4U: A Symphonic Celebration of Prince kicks off September 6 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, before hitting 32 more cities across the United States. A full symphony orchestra, live band and guest vocalists will perform a mix of famous and deep cut songs that Questlove curated from Prince’s expansive catalog. Questlove also created the string arrangements, while the Prince estate provided photos and videos for the experience. 

Fans can purchase tickets through 4UPrince.com. Tour presenters Live Nation Urban and TCG Entertainment will announce more U.S. and European dates for fall 2018 and 2019.
