It’s been a bad couple of weeks for Delaware Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell. After the Tea Party favorite pulled off a surprise upset victory in the state’s republican primary, several stories surfaced about how she’d [lied about her credentials](http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/09/another-school-says-christine-odonnell-did-not-attend.php), "dabbled in witchcraft," and made[ utterly bizzare claims](http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/09/odonnell-in-2003-yeah-ill-stop-the-country-from-having-sex-video.php). In an effort to calm the criticism, O’Donnell’s campaign released a [new campaign ad](http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/10/christine-odonnell-ad-im-not-a-witch-im-you-video.php) that seems to have only made things worse. [Jon Stewart](http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2010/10/jon-stewart-on-odonnell-witch-ad-i-know-this-game—-i-am-not-a-centaur-video.php?ref=fpb)’s already gotten in a few jokes, and as you’ll see in the video above, Jay Smooth wonders why anyone would want to vote for a candidate who’s just like us.
