If You Only Watch One Speech From the #MarchForOurLives, Make It This One

On Saturday (March 24), thousands of people united for March For Our Lives rallies across the country. Many children took to the stage to talk about what gun control reform means to them, but Naomi Wadler, 11, captured the nation’s attention with a speech dedicated to Black girls and women killed by gun violence.

“I am here today to acknowledge and represent the African-American girls whose stories don’t make it to the front page of every national newspaper,” Wadler said as the Washington D.C. crowd cheered. "I represent the African-American women who are victims of gun violence who are simply statistics instead of vibrant, beautiful girls full of potential."
