Two Muslim women in Dearborn, Michigan filed suit against McDonald’s for not hiring them because of their hijabs. The young women were told by McDonald’s management that they had to choose between wearing their hijab or working at the fast food chain. The suit brings much needed attention to the pervasive racial discrimination in the food service industry across the United States.
