“The Help” Gets Five Golden Globe Nominations

Hollywood insiders look at the Golden Globe winners to predict which films will make it to the Oscars and so far it looks like "The Help" will be a shoe in. "The Help" received five Golden Globe nominations Thursday morning.

The film adaptation of Kathryn Stockett’s bestselling novel "The Help" about a young white woman in early ’60s Mississippi who risks her social position to write an oral history of local black maids.

"The Help is competing in the top best motion picture drama category, Viola Davis was nominated for best actress in a drama and Jessica Chastain and Octavia Davis are competing for best supporting actress in a motion picture.
