‘Hamilton’ is Set to Tour the Nation

By Sameer Rao Jan 28, 2016

No luck scoring tickets to see "Hamilton" in New York City? Fear not, for the smash musical is hitting the road in 2016 and 2017.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s acclaimed show about the eponymous Founding Father—one of the hardest to find and most expensive Broadway tickets right now—will mount live productions in theaters across the country. It will open in Chicago’s PrivateBank Theater on September 27, 2016. Then it will debut at San Francisco’s SHN Orpheum Theater in March 2017, with a 21-week run, before moving to Los Angeles’ Hollywood Pantages Theater from August 2017 through December 2017. The NYC production will run indefinitely, and the Times reports that producers are also considering a London run.
