The state may be heading into another showdown over a controversial law.

George Takei joined Arizona House Minority Leader Chad Campbell on MSNBC’s "The Last Word" to talk about SB 1062, a law passed by the state’s legislature that would allow businesses to turn away customers for religious reasons. Many have zeroed in on how the the bill, if signed into law by Governor Jan Brewer, could impact the LGBT community. But, as Adam Serwer points out, the law could allow for widespread discrimination.

Last week, Takei warned Arizona to expect a boycott if the bill became law. But, of course, a boycott is nothing new to Arizona, which is about four years removed from the controversial fight over SB 1070, the state’s draconian anti-immigration bill.
