Full “Facing Race” Program Schedule Released!

Today Race Forward released the full program schedule for Facing Race: A National Conference, which will take place at the Cobo Center in Detroit, MI from November 8-10. 

Keynote speakers Tarana Burke and Hari Kondabolu join over 210 fellow presenters, allowing conference-goers the opportunity to engage with hundreds of prominent activists, artists, educators, and other leaders — incleading estemmed author adrienne maree brown, "Queen Sugar" star Dawn-Lyen Gardner, and activists Bree Newsome and Rashad Robinson

In addition to inspiring speakers, the conference will feature Race Flicks film screenings, the Racial Justice Reads literary fair, and more than 100 panels and breakout sessions on a wide array of key issues, with a focus on four key tracks:

This is Race Forward’s ninth Facing Race conference, and the first to be held at a convention center after the record-breaking turnout in 2016, when over 2,000 people joined Race Forward for the sold-out conference in Atlanta, GA. Previous speakers have included Jose Antonio Vargas, Roxane Gay, Melissa Harris-Perry, Van Jones, and W. Kamau Bell.
