Sixteen fast food workers in Kansas City, Missouri, who make just $7.25 an hour decided to photograph their daily lives to help promote the national call for a $15 minimum wage. The workers, who are affiliated with a local labor organization, Stand Up KC, trained with professional photographers and then took images of their homes and jobs over the last year. The workers’ exhibition “I, Too, Am America” can be viewed at Kansas City’s Talk Shop Gallery through May 31.
