Endorsers
The movement to Drop the I-Word is attracting a broad-based coalition of endorsing organizations. And a growing number of media outlets have pledged to stop using the word "illegals" in their journalism. Get an organizational endorsement form in the Campaign Toolkit. I will not call any human being "illegal." The racially charged slur and related terms confuse the immigration debate, fuel violence and don't reflect my values. I join communities nationwide in challenging all media to do the same.

The epithet “illegals” promotes a culture of intolerance and violence toward foreign nationals, undocumented immigrants, and people of color. Say these instead:
- Undocumented immigrants
- Unauthorized immigrants
- NAFTA refugee
