While most progressive viewers can agree that Fox News’ "fair and balanced" motto needs some editing, "[The Simpsons](http://www.hulu.com/watch/193315/the-simpsons-the-fool-monty)" has come up with a pretty good replacement. On Sunday an episode aired in which a Fox News helicopter ‘s adorned with "Fox News: Not Racists, But #1 With Racists." Just last week, Fox News anchor Trace Gallagher claimed that a new study reported that "100,000 illegals have left Arizona" since the passage of SB 1070. Except that what Gallagher *meant* to say was that the study reported that the law had likely led to the [departures](http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/11/hispanics-fled-arizona-law/) of 100,000 Latinos from the state. That’s "fair and balanced" for you. [You can watch the entire episode on Hulu.](http://www.hulu.com/watch/193315/the-simpsons-the-fool-monty) On the same day the The Simpsons took aim at Fox News, so did former President Jimmy Carter. Speaking on CNN’s "Reliable Sources", Carter said that Fox News commentators like Glenn Beck have "[deliberately distorted the news.](http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/130275-carter-fox-commentators-have-deliberately-distorted-news)"
