On Nov. 6, 2013, our publisher, the Applied Research Center, officially became Race Forward: The Center for Racial Justice Innovation. Why the name change? But it boils down to this: You can’t fix a problem you won’t name, and after more than 30 years of working for racial justice, we are still determined to directly and openly confront racial inequity.
