Today’s Love: Citizens For Immigrants

It's always important to have strong allies.

By Jamilah King Nov 19, 2010

Every good cause needs good allies. And that’s exactly the point behind Citizens for Immigrants, a blog dedicated to providing space for U.S. citizen allies to show their support for just and humane immigration reform. The blog encourages citizens to share their first person stories in audio, video, or photos, while also showcasing news on how the country’s vicious deportation dragnet impacts real families. So far it mostly showcases aggregated pro-immigrant responses from around the Web, including relevant news, videos, and personal testimonies. The project was created by Will Coley, who’s previously written about wanting to foster greater communications between immigrant and non-immigrant communities.
