Today is the third night of relief efforts in Japan. According to NHK (the Japanese Broadcasting Station), the official death toll is nearly 1,900 with at least 15,000 unaccounted for. More than 450,000 people are staying in shelters. Relief teams are trying to reach the more isolated areas and find the missing residents.The U.S., China, Korea, Singapore, Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand, Britain, Australia, Mexico and Taiwan have sent relief teams to help on the ground.

Here are some ways in which you can help:

Save the Children: providing disaster relief and support for Japanese children. Donate online or donate $10 by texting JAPAN or TSUNAMI to 20222. 

Global Giving: Earthquake and tsunami relief fund. Donate online or text JAPAN to 50555 to give $10

World Vision: response team ready to depart for Japan. Donate online or text 4JAPAN to 20222 to give a $10 donation.

Convoy of Hope: Shipping and distributing relief supplies. Donate online or text TSUNAMI to 50555 to donate $10 

Doctors Without Borders: DWB has sent medical teams to Japan and are running mobile clinics. Donate online. 

International Medical Corps: Donate online or text MED to 80888 to give $10.
