Styles P and Jadakiss Launch Series of Natural Juice Shops In Low-Income Neighborhoods

Although members of The LOX might not the most obvious promoters of healthy lifestyle products, two of the group’s most prominent emcees have joined forces for a new juice bar initiative that will be exclusive to lower-income neighborhoods and communities.

In a recent Elite Daily profile, veteran emcees Jadakiss and Styles P talked about Juices For Life, their juice bar chain with three stores across the Bronx and their hometown of Yonkers, New York. The stores offer a healthy option in neighborhoods that are considered "food deserts," neighborhoods where healthy and non-processed food is scarce, non-existent or outside of the financial reach of residents.

"In the poor communities, it’s mostly the money gets invested in liquor stores and kind of things we really don’t need," Styles P said in a video promoting Juices For Life (which you can watch below).

"Growing up in Yonkers, New York, we didn’t know what was good for us," Jadakiss added. "And that’s exactly what we’re trying to give to our community."
