Q-Tip, the longtime producer and emcee known most for his role with A Tribe Called Quest, is entering the world of TV production and one of his first projects will be a scripted series based on his early years with the group and the entire Native Tongues collective, which also included iconic hip-hop groups the Jungle Brothers and De La Soul.

The series has yet to find a network home, according to Deadline, but the series will be produced bu DiCaprio’s production company Appian Way.
