NBC News reported today (June 14) that Noor Zahi Salman, the wife of Pulse shooter Omar Mateen, allegedy knew about her husband’s planned attack and tried to dissuade him from it.

Anonymous law enforcement officials told NBC News that Salman, who is cooperating with federal investigators, may be charged for failing to tell them what she knew. She apparently accompanied her husband to purchase ammunition and a gun holster, and drove him to Pulse "because he wanted to scope it out."

Salman was Mateen’s second wife. His first, Sitora Yusufiy, told The New York Times that Mateen abused her throughout their marriage.
