NFL Sports Drama ‘The Last Fall’ to Premiere on BET

Dec 13, 2012

"The Last Fall" is a coming of age sports drama that illustrates the difficulties many young NFL players face when their professional football careers are over at 25. The film that was written, funded and directed by Matthew A. Cherry will have its television premiere on BET next Tuesday, December 18th at 7:30pm.

The average NFL player’s career lasts three years and many players go in to bankruptcy within two years of retiring. It’s an all too familiar story for many black men who make up about 67 percent of the NFL’s active roster, according to the Racial and Gender Report Card published by The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport.

The film will also have a wider video release on January 15th, 2013 when it will be available on DVD, VOD, Digitally (iTunes, etc.) Red Box, Amazon etc.
