Muslims Unite Against Paris Terrorism With #NotInMyName

By Kenrya Rankin Nov 16, 2015

In the wake of Friday’s Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISISterror attack that targeted six sites in Paris and left at least 129 people dead, Muslims around the world have taken to Twitter to denounce the group’s actions.

The #NotInMyName hashtag first surfaced in September via a campaign from the Active Change Foundation that featured young Muslims sounding off against ISIS. On Friday, it was revived to make it clear that terrorism and Islam are not intertwined. Here are a few representative tweets from the conversation.
