Our Muslim brothers and sisters can’t catch a break this month. First, the Fort Hood tragedy leads to more scapegoating of their faith. Now, the Feds target the owners of four mosques for their affiliation with the Iranian government. Faced once again with the ugly T-word (terrorist), the Council on American-Islamic Relations steps out and up to defend mosque worshipers against the growing hate of the “other” in this country. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, “So much for post-racial America!” If the powers that be consistently held whole communities responsible for the actions of individuals, then there wouldn’t be a yacht club left standing.
