Marvel Remakes More Hip-Hop Covers With Classic Characters

By Sameer Rao Sep 29, 2015

Ahead of new MacArthur Fellow Ta-Nehisi Coates’s anticipated takeover of the "Black Panther" series, Marvel Comics has released new renditions of several landmark hip-hop albums’ artwork featuring Marvel characters. Marvel has done this a few times in the past, and we hope they continue to do this in the lead up to the "Black Panther" reboot

The new renditions, which you can see in full at Okayplayer, feature Daredevil for Tupac’s "Strictly 4 My N*****…," T’Challa of "Black Panther" for Jay-Z’s "The Black Album," Silk for Mos Def’s "The New Danger" and the X-Men for Souls of Mischief’s debut (which you can see screencapped above).

Here’s hoping for more from the folks at Marvel!
