The Times-Picayune is reporting President Obama making an appearance in New Orleans on the fourth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina "appears unlikely." The White House has declined to comment whether President Obama will visit New Orleans. But the paper says "the president’s family vacation to Martha’s Vineyard, policy agenda and political considerations all seem to suggest that a visit to the Gulf Coast around Aug. 29 is unlikely." Former President George W. Bush made appearances in New Orleans on or before each of the three anniversaries since Katrina. What do you say? Should Obama be in New Orleans on the fourth anniversary of Katrina? Would we be bringing this up, if say, we were talking about a natural disaster in a predominately white town like Scranton, Pennsylvania?
