Hillary Clinton’s misguided attempts to court black voters and look approachable in the Democratic presidential primary don’t seem to be working. The latest of these attempts inspired tremendous criticism throughout social media, especially from the corners of Black Twitter.
In an appearance on "Ellen" earlier this week, Clinton tried to whip and nae nae, essentially recycling a tired move in which hopelessly unhip white cultural figures cynically try to look easy-going. The stunt didn’t work, and Clutch Magazine documented these (and many more) amazing tweets as proof:
Hillary can’t convince me she for #TheBlacks by letting us see her whip and nae nae.

you better whip and nae nae over to some policies surrounding student aid @HillaryClinton

All of this begs a series of questions, with "What in the hell was she thinking?" at the forefront of this writer’s mind.
