After four East Haven police officers were arrested Tuesday for allegedly profiling members of the Latino community, the city’s mayor said he was going to have tacos for dinner that night to help Latinos. East Haven Mayor Joe Maturo has since apologized, but the group Reform Immigration for America has launched a Twitter campaign encouraging people to text their delivery order and get the mayor a taco for each text. "East Haven Mayor Maturo thinks tacos will help the Latino community fight racial profiling. Let’s find out – text TACO to 69866 to send one."
