Since President Obama [affirmed his support for gay marriage Wednesday](http://colorlines.com/archives/2012/05/president_obama_affirms_his_suppo...) a lot has been said about how this will affect his re-election campaign. The big question on everyone's mind has been: how will this affect black voters who in 2008 came out to vote for Obama in record numbers. The Root's Cynthia Gordy posed this question to three black leaders with insight from different spectrums of the black community: a black minister; a black LGBT activist and a scholar on the African-American electorate.
