Artist on Anti-Woman Attacks: ‘Politicians Off My Poontang!’

If you’re a woman, or a person who just happens to respect women, you’ve got [plenty reason](https://colorlines.com/archives/2012/02/the_new-old_southern_strategy_mixes_racism_and_sexism_for_nasty_results.html) to be angry these days. Artist Favianna Rodriguez, fed up with the misogyny [taking over the airwaves](https://colorlines.com/archives/2012/03/rush_limbaugh_loses_42_advertisers_says_everythings_cool.html) and [filling statehouses](http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57392796-503544/virginia-gov-bob-mcdonnell-signs-virginia-ultrasound-bill/), created a series of posters that say exactly what many of us have been feeling for a very long time. As she wrote on her [blog](http://favianna.typepad.com/faviannacom_art_activism/2012/03/take-ur-conservative-laws-and-go-f-yourself-3-new-posters-for-the-woman-bashing-year.html), "Everywhere you turn, the right wing is attempting to further limit and hinder our access to our reproductive rights through anti-contraceptive measures."
