Job Title: Assistant General Secretary for Goal Leadership Supervisor: Deputy General Secretary for Programs Location: Philadelphia, PA The Assistant General Secretary for Goal Leadership (AGL) supervisors the directors of the goal areas and the Director of Research and Analysis and provides overall guidance, coordination, interpretation, and expertise for program work to accomplish the strategic goals of the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). The AGL ensures that the planning and implementation of all AFSC goal areas are in alignment and that senior managers are kept up-to-date on external trends and operational issues in the goal areas. The AGL works with the associate and assistant general secretaries to ensure that program units achieve the strategic goals of the AFSC, to strengthen internal management and team building, to establish new models of operation that will facilitate positive cultural changes, and to reinforce a culture of accountability and participation.
